How people still take profit
Styles traders run. Not calls.
- In and out fastMedian pull for devs with a rap sheet: 103s (n=15,630 coins, 827 devs). Speed is the whole game.
- Take your initial outSell enough to cover the buy. Ride the rest.
- Small size, many shotsMost coins go nowhere. Small bets keep you in.
- Skip devs with a rap sheetThe card shows the count before you buy. Some traders just pass.
- Stop chasing green candlesThe candle is real. The window it opens is short. See below.
- Set a sell rule before you buyDecide the exit while you’re calm. Not mid-pump.
The green candle is real
Pulled coins still print green first. People take money off them.
Median 54s from peak to pull (n=64,165).
The money is in the window. The window closes on the dev’s clock.
Pulled Solana coins GT snapshotted, launched Oct 6 to Oct 12 UTC.
Multiples come from the pump.fun curve: 2x is 12.4 SOL in it, 5x is 36.9, 10x is 64.9.
GT snapshots the curve, so the peak is a floor.
Don’t get got
- Watch who you follow.Shills, paid calls, KOLs selling into their followers. Pop a KOL and see what they launched.
- Do your own research.Paste the CA here first.
- Never put in more than you’re willing to lose.
- Bait.“Sent you money” + a dozen tags = bait. Nobody sends you money.
- Wallet hygiene. No seed phrases, ever. No fake support DMs. No drainer links. Use a fresh burner wallet for new coins.
- Fees eat small trades.Priority fee, swap fee and slippage add up. Count them before you size up.
